CLANDEBOYNE

Situated 12 miles from Belfast, the Clandeboyne Estate in 2021 privately name three Colin Dickson roses, which none of them will ever be commerically grown in the UK.


The Estate, which consists of about 2,000 acres of woodland, gardens, farmland and a lake, was the home of the Dufferin family from 1801, when the current Clandeboyne House was built for the politian, Sir James Blackwood, the 2nd Baron Dufferin until the death of the widow of the last Marquess of Dufferin and Ava died in 2021,


Clandeboyne - is a floribunda rose that Colin Dickson bred by crossing Secret Perfuma with an unnamed seedling, It grows to 90cm tall and 80 wide.



Dufferin Foundation - has Egyptian buff to cream flowers and was bred by crossing You're Beautiful with Secret Performa. A floribunda rose, it grows to about 70cm by 70.



Lindy, Lady Dufferin - is named after the British artist, business woman and conservationist, who had inherited the estate following the death of her husband in 1988. The rose, which grows to about 75cm by 60, is a floribunda rose with rose pink flowers, that Colin Dickson bred by crossing (You're Beautiful x Storyteller) with Salsa.
